Kids Kloset

Parents spend thousands of dollars on “stuff” for their kids….clothing, toys, equipment, furniture and more. And sadly, it only gets used a very short time if at all since they grow and change so fast. Kids will go through 18-20 different clothing and shoe sizes before they turn 18 and how many toys will they have? Who can count them all…. Are you tired of the clutter that your kids “stuff” creates? Do you wish you could re-coup some of those hard-earned dollars spent on things they no longer use or need? Here’s a great solution ….a creative, fun and easy way to solve both problems and gain some additional bonuses along the way.

The Kids Kloset Seasonal Children’s Consignment Event is the perfect way to recycle new or gently used outgrown baby/kids items and buy the same at bargain prices. It’s the easy and profitable way to buy and sell Baby Equipment, Furniture, Clothing, Toys, Shoes, Books, Movies, Games, Play Equipment, Maternity, Room Décor and anything else for kids.

Parents realize that raising children is no longer cheap (was it ever?) and in this economy, many are looking for a fast, easy way to earn some extra cash. The Kids Kloset makes it easy to sell your kids things all at once, get the price you want and at the same time, help the environment, meet new friends and have fun.

So how does it work? It’s very simple…..Almost everything is done from the comfort of your own home.

1.)    Participants register online at http://www.thekidskloset.com/
2.)    Once registered, you can access your own inventory management system
3.)    You enter your items you want to sell, select a price and key a description
4.)    The system will then print out tags that you attach to your items
5.)    You make a drop off appointment online for several days prior to the event, drop off your items at the designated time and you are done….
6.)    Within 1 week of the event, you get a check in the mail for your proceeds

It’s that easy and there are some bonuses too

1.)    You can volunteer to earn additional sales percentages and to gain entry into the pre-sale event so you can shop first before the general public

2.)    You will meet an amazing group of men and women starting out with something in common already…having kids. Many of our participants have formed lasting friendships with each other and see each other outside of our events as well. We love to hear….they met at The Kids Kloset

3.)    Recycling items helps keep them out of the landfills thus helping the future of our children.

4.)    You are not required to be at the sale. You can simply tag and drop off and wait for your check several days later.

5.)    The online system lets you log in anytime during the 3 day event and see what you sold and how much you sold.

6.)    Everything sold is in excellent new or used condition. All items are pre-verified to ensure they match The Kids Kloset quality guidelines.

7.)    You can choose to donate your unsold items or you can pick them up at the end of the event. The decision is solely yours.

About The Event:

The Kids Kloset has been working on consignment events for over 10 years. Born and raised on Long Island, Event Coordinator Gail Roca brought this concept to Long Island several years ago.  In just 3 years, the event has grown from 75 participants to over 1,000 with a registered membership of over 6,000 consignors and shoppers from the Long Island area and beyond.

Each event is set up like a retail store in a large venue with well over 35,000 items in each event. All clothing items are hung on hangers, barcode tagged, sorted by gender and size and hung on retail clothing racks. All toys, shoes, books, furniture, equipment and everything else is neatly displayed and organized by type and style. All items are pre-checked for quality and no sub-par items are ever accepted into the event so there is no digging for the good stuff….it’s all good.

This Spring season, The Kids Kloset is hosting 2 events in both Nassau County and Suffolk County. Each new season has brought more participants and more merchandise requiring The Kids Kloset to find larger venues to host the event. Our new Suffolk County venue is Center Island Sports in Ronkonkoma….a huge 30,000 sq. foot facility that is directly off the LIE/495 at Exit 60. Our Nassau County event is at the incredible Long Island Rough Riders Mitchel Athletic Complex in Uniondale/Garden City Border with over 35,000 sq. feet.

With this expansion and popularity, The Kids Kloset is also hosting a Parent’s Expo to be held at the same time as the sales event. This is an opportunity for shoppers and participants to meet family/kid-friendly businesses in the local areas. These businesses will focus on ways for parents to earn money, save money and help the environment. The Kids Kloset also works with various charities and organizations to help those in need. After every event, donations of thousands of items are made to support the local communities.

There is also a special pre-sale for some VIP’s…..new parents who have a child 12 months and younger, expecting parents, military families and teachers are all given VIP status and can register to attend the presale to shop the day before the general public.
