The Dorothy P. Flint 4-H Camp is located on 140 acres of woodland, farmland and beachfront adjacent to the Long Island Sound. This natural setting includes a 40-acres work-and-learn farm, low and high ropes challenge course, a Nature Center, indoor horseback riding arena, riding trails, open areas for recreation, camping and meeting spaces. Camp sits at the gateway to Long Island’s East End with its many natural and historic points of interest.
The camp is operated by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Nassau County and is accredited by the American Camp Association. The DPF 4-H Camp is “Living Laboratory for Leadership Development and Center for Environmental Discovery”. DPF 4-H Camp provides youth and adults with safe environmental for fun, hand on residential outdoor education experiences; fostering independences, leadership development, respect, tolerances and positive self-esteem. This is accomplished under the guidelines of 4-H and Cornell Cooperative Extension of Nassau principles and missions.
